Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent to which character education is instilled through the habituation method in elementary school students. The subjects in this research were students at Ngaglik State Elementary School, Gebang District, Purworejo Regency. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis refers to Miles and Huberman's data analysis, namely through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the habituation method has an impact on instilling character education in Ngaglik State Elementary School students, namely religious, nationalist, independent, integrity, mutual cooperation, and independence. Apart from that, the habituation method is one of the methods that can be applied to instill character in Ngaglik State Elementary School students.
