Education is a process of changing the behavior and attitude of a person or student and as an effort to develop personality, spiritual and physical abilities. Government to improve the quality of education and professionalism in order to achieve national education goals. The role of the teacher as an educator is very important to improve the quality of education, especially in relation to the teaching and learning process in schools. Natural Science (IPA) is related to how to find out about nature systematically, so that Natural Science is not only mastering a collection of knowledge in the form of facts, concepts or principles but also a process of discovery. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' ability to classify animals based on the type of food they ate in class V at UPTD SDN Pejagan 5 Bangkalan. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative research method. The results showed that there was an influence of the discovery learning learning model on students' ability to classify animals based on the type of food in class V UPTD SDN Pejagan 5 Bangkalan. It can be seen from the results of the pretest 64.68 while the results of the posttest are 77.80 so it can be concluded that the results of the pretest data obtained are greater than the posttest data. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the discovery learning model on the ability of students to classify animals based on the type of food in class V UPTD SDN Pejagan 5 BangkalanDownloads
