This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media better than the direct learning model on the creative thinking skills of fifth grade science students at Ngurenrejo Elementary School. This research is a quasy experiment. In this study, there were two classes whose posttest scores were compared, namely the experimental class applying the Project Based Learning model and the control class applying direct learning. The resulting data is quantitative data. The data analysis technique in this study used the Mann Whitney test. The results of data processing show the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.002 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the posttest scores in the experimental class and the control class in students' creative thinking abilities. It can be seen that learning with Project Based Learning assisted by audio-visual media is better than direct learning.Downloads
