Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of teacher competence on student learning motivation. This research is a quantitative survey method research with a correlational approach. The population in this study was the entire class V, cluster VII, Pammana District, Wajo Regency, with a total of 130 students and 30 teachers. Through stratified random sampling techniques, a sample of 47 students and 12 teachers were obtained from four different schools. Data collection was carried out through questionnaire and documentation techniques. The research data was then analyzed using an ordinal scale. Hypothesis testing is carried out using a simple regression test. The results of the research show that teacher competence has a significant effect on the learning motivation of class V class VII students in Pammana District, Wajo Regency.
