Abstract

One of the obstacles in the learning process is the lack of creative, innovative learning media and local wisdom. The aim of this research is to develop cartoon wayang media based on local wisdom of the Mbojo tribe, social studies learning content for fourth grade elementary school students that is valid and practical. The novelty of this research is that it more specifically highlights a tribe, namely the Mbojo tribe, in the wayang cartoon media. This type of research is research and development (R & D) using a 4D model which consists of 4 stages, namely: Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The data collection method uses a questionnaire consisting of a validation questionnaire from material experts and media experts as well as teacher and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of research on cartoon wayang media based on local wisdom of the Mbojo tribe show that the material expert validation test percentage obtained 91% in the very valid category, the media results obtained a percentage of 97% in the valid category, teacher responses obtained an average score of 83% in the very practical category. and student responses were 91.3% in the very practical category. Based on the research objectives above, it can be concluded that wayang learning media based on local wisdom of the Mbojo tribe, social studies learning content for fourth grade students at SDN Sangari is declared very valid and practical for use in the learning process.
