Abstract

Learning outcomes are results that have been achieved by each individual. In learning outcomes have five indicators that must be achieved including a) intellectual skills b) cognitive strategies c) attitudes d) verbal information e) motoric skills. Reading is a basic learning process that must be owned by each individual with individual reading skills it will be easier to make decisions and can hone thinking skills well. The purpose of this research is to describe the learning outcomes of reading the folktale "Malin Kundang". This research is a qualitative research with descriptive research design. The subjects of this study were 4 students in class IV at SDN Lemahputro 3 who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were 2 written tests and interview guidelines. This research data analysis uses the Miles & Hubermen model. The results obtained were that the superior subject wrote and explained the information contained in the problem accurately and completely. The subject also gave an explanation of the work logically to others by providing correct and logical answers related to the conclusions obtained based on the reading story. The low subject explained that the information in the problem was not correct and the information written down was not appropriate. The subjects could not provide an explanation for the results of their work to others so they gave a perfunctory explanation.
