Abstract

Educational Supervision is a coaching activity that is planned to assist teachers and other school employees in carrying out their work effectively. Teachers are the main role holders in education because teachers really determine the success of students, especially in the process of teaching and learning activities. Educational supervision is carried out as a means of providing opportunities for teachers to develop and carry out their main duties, by improving and increasing teacher performance in the teaching and learning process. By implementing supervision for teachers, the quality of education can be improved. Implementation of supervision as a means of improving the quality of teacher performance which ultimately improves the quality of teaching and learning in schools and can improve student learning achievement. Supervision is an activity to develop the quality of learning. Apart from being able to do this activity individually, it can also be done in groups. Both supervision and quality assurance activities are the same concept, and both seek to ensure the quality of the educational process or service becomes better. The essence of supervision is the assistance provided to teachers to improve the quality of their learning on an ongoing basis.
