Abstract

The research instrument plays a crucial role in the research process as it serves as a tool for collecting the necessary data. Developing instruments is an essential step in the interconnected procedures of research. This process is vital to maintaining consistency in the collected data with the formulated research questions, as part of the effort to test the hypotheses that have been formulated. This research employs the literature study method, focusing on the exploration and analysis of relevant literature. The research instruments consist of two types, namely tests and non-tests. In quantitative research, primary data usually utilize test instruments, while qualitative research employs non-test instruments as primary data. Validity is a measure that assesses the extent to which an instrument truly measures what it is intended to measure. An instrument is considered reliable if it can consistently provide relatively stable measurement results.
