Abstract

Skills or creativity are related to the field of art. Through art learning, students can express their talents, appreciate, work and be creative. In learning, educators do not only convey material verbally to students. However, in this case, it is also necessary to build or construct new knowledge by students. The purpose of this writing is to analyze differentiation strategies in developing grade 1 students' creativity through fine arts. The research method used uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results obtained from differentiation learning are one of the teaching and learning process activities in which students carry out according to their level of ability. The conclusion obtained is that fine art itself is defined as a source of human feelings or thoughts which are manifested in the form of culture. To preserve Indonesian culture, fine arts are implemented in the form of "Fine Arts" learning at grade 1 level. Students' creative character can be built through developing creativity. This can provide motivation, knowledge and learning experience. Apart from that, at grade 1 level further motivation is needed regarding the development of creativity in fine arts in the form of motivation and better teacher guidance. The results of fine arts work at grade 1 level have not yet been fully achieved. This could be caused by a learning system that does not suit the characteristics of students. Apart from that, some students still have not mastered creativity, talent, or shown interest in fine arts subjects.
