Abstract

The background to this research is the problems that arise from online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is the use of media for online learning that does not invite students to play an active role in learning, so that it can influence student learning outcomes. In this case, researchers see the benefits of the Google Meet application as an online learning medium for increasing student activity and learning outcomes. The formulation of the problem is to find out the results of the implementation of the Google Meet application in online learning on the activity and learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 1 Maron Purworejo. The methodology of this research is quantitative descriptive, namely by describing an incident or incident in the form of numbers which is supplemented by the researcher's analysis in making conclusions. In this research, data collection was used by observation, learning results from computer-based evaluation tests, and documentation. The results of this research show that implementing the Google Meet application in online learning can increase student activity and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of students when participating in learning activities. When conducting questions and answers with the teacher, in conveying ideas, ideas or opinions related to learning material. The learning results also show an improvement after using the Google Meet application in learning. The results of data analysis are as follows, in cycle I the percentage of activeness was 16.67% which increased to 58.33% in cycle II and to 83.33% in cycle III. Student learning outcomes also increased, in cycle I the test results were still below the minimum completeness criteria of 25.00%, then increased to 58.33% in cycle II and to 91.67% in cycle III.
