Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Riset Bisnis dan Manajemen (JRBM) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific contribution, and relevance of the published articles. In the double-blind review system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

Each manuscript is initially evaluated by the Editorial Office to determine its suitability with the journal's aims and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, manuscript quality, and publication ethics. At this stage, manuscripts may also undergo plagiarism screening using similarity detection software.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject area. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.

  • Scientific significance and contribution to the field.

  • Soundness of the research methodology.

  • Quality of data analysis and interpretation.

  • Clarity of presentation and organization.

  • Relevance and adequacy of references.

  • Practical and theoretical implications.

  • Compliance with ethical standards in research and publication.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision.

  • Minor Revision.

  • Major Revision.

  • Reject.

For manuscripts requiring revision, authors are expected to submit a revised version accompanied by a detailed response to reviewers' comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers' recommendations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, and the journal's editorial standards.

JRBM is committed to conducting the peer-review process in a fair, objective, confidential, and timely manner, following internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing and publication ethics.
