Abstract

This study aims to determine the motives for deviant behavior of students at Nurul Fadillah High School, Dompu Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The types of data used are prime data and secondary data. Data sourced from subjects and informants. Data were collected through observation, documentation and triangulation as a method of checking the validity of the data. Data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, presentation and verification. The results of this study found that the motives for students' deviant behavior at SMA Nurul Fadillah were: biogenetic motives and sociogenetic motives. Factors that cause deviant behavior are family, social environment and friendship factors. Forms of deviant behavior that are often carried out by students include: 1) stealing. 2) fight. 3) watching porn videos. 4) drinking hard. 5) do wild racing. 6) bullying or bullying.
