Abstract

The article discusses the importance of school culture management in improving the quality of education and developing religious character in students. The article defines management as the process of achieving specific goals through the activities of others and culture as a way of life that reflects the identity of a particular group. The article emphasizes the need for educators and school staff to play a role in building, managing, and developing a school culture that is focused on the school's vision, mission, and goals. The article outlines several principles for developing a school culture, including focusing on performance, having clear strategies and evaluation systems, and having a strong commitment to consensus-based decision-making. The article discusses the implementation of school culture management in MTs Almaarif 01 Singosari Malang to develop religious character. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The school's culture management includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the school's unique characteristics, habits, and image sustainably. The school's programs related to religious culture and character development include teaching good manners, a child-friendly school program, morning Quran recitation, religious skill development, Quran memorization, extracurricular activities, and academic and non-academic achievement development. The study concludes that the school has successfully implemented school culture management to develop religious character.
