Abstract

Changes in educational institutions can relate to various aspects, ranging from the curriculum, teaching methods, physical infrastructure, to organizational culture. PKBM Siratul Jannah is one of the equivalency schools that faces numerous challenges, ranging from curriculum changes, suboptimal management structure, technological advancements, to the recognition of non-formal education as equivalent to formal education in general. These challenges are very difficult to address considering that equivalency schools are not the main benchmark in the education world but rather serve as a secondary foundation for the community after formal schools in general. This study conducts a descriptive qualitative research with a case study. The data collection techniques used by the researcher are observation, documentation, and interviews. With the implementation of the independent curriculum, it will enrich the skills and empowerment of students. So that it can produce students who are not only talented in the field of knowledge but also in the field of skills. Effective communication is crucial to overcoming resistance to change and ensuring that every employee understands their role in the process. Change leaders must hold meetings, workshops, and training sessions to explain the changes and address any questions or concerns that may arise at this time.
