Abstract

This research analyzes the need for Masbagik Lombok pottery as a teaching material for Fine Arts in elementary schools. The qualitative research approach uses data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman theory, which involves data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research results indicate that the existence of Masbagik pottery is not yet fully known by teachers, and modules on pottery are still very minimal, with none specifically addressing Masbagik pottery. Furthermore, teachers have never taught materials about Masbagik pottery. However, this material is very important for fostering a love for the region and the archipelago, as per the mandate of the Kurikulum Merdeka.
