Abstract

Student delinquency is a very important thing to pay attention to and must be addressed immediately. In minimizing student delinquency, the role of PPKn teachers has an important and necessary role in teaching civic values to student delinquency at SMAN 10 Mataram as well as efforts by PPKn teachers to minimize student delinquency at SMAN 10 Mataram . This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research indicate that there are two forms of delinquency that occur at SMAN 10 Mataram, namely mild delinquency and moderate delinquency. Minor delinquency that occurs is playing truant or not going to school, students not dressing neatly, coming late. Meanwhile, the moderate form of delinquency that occurs is smoking. Efforts by PPKn teachers to minimize student delinquency at SMAN 10 Mataram are carried out through preventive, recessive and curative efforts. Preventif efforts are carried out by teachers by educating, guiding, and being role models. Futhermore, repressive efforts are carried out by PPKn teachers by taking a special approach to students. Then curative efforts, which are the last resort, are carried out by inviting related institutions such as the police, the Women’a Empowerment and Child Protection Service (DPPPA), Nasional Narcotics Agency (BNN), and Health Service.
