Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers in forming Civic Disposition. The research location is located at SMP Negeri 20 Mataram. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the research that researchers found show that teachers as implementers and mentors in forming citizenship dispositions in Civics learning in the classroom, namely by applying character building values that are in accordance with national values and through examples of good behavior, while the challenges faced consist of several factors such as a lack of facilities that have not created a conducive and productive atmosphere to provide proactive and interactive learning experiences to students and a lack of support from parents for students in learning at school. The conclusion of the research results shows that the role of PPKn teachers in forming Citizenship Dispositions at SMP Negeri 20 Mataram has been carried out well.
