Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model with audio-visual media on student learning outcomes in elementary schools. This research is a quantitative study using a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects used in this study were fourth grade students of SDM 1 Babat consisting of 20 students of class IV A and 20 students of class IV B. The data measured in this study were in the form of data collected from the students. The data measured in this study in the form of item validation and the effect of the NHT model with audio-visual media. The results of validation, reliability, level of difficulty, and distinguishing power of the items show that all items are valid and can be used as research instruments. Before conducting the T test, the results of the normality and homogeneity tests showed that the data used were normally distributed and homogeneous, so they could be used in this study. The results of the hypothesis test obtained were 0.001 <0.05 which showed that there were differences in the use of the NHT learning model with audio-visual media on the learning outcomes of elementary school students.
