Abstract

Inclusive education is an educational service used as a step to respond to and handle the various needs of all students. Inclusive education requires strategies that can support its development. This research aims to determine the development of inclusive education with a differentiated approach through peer teaching methods within the framework of an independent curriculum. The subjects of this research consisted of inclusive teachers and students. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews, which were then analyzed using a combined data analysis technique between Creswell and Yin at several stages, including preparing data, making notes, compiling patterns, explanation/description, and representation. The research results show that SMK Negeri 5 Mataram applies the independent curriculum as a teaching tool that supports the development of inclusive education. An independent curriculum is a curriculum that supports the needs of students as well as a differentiated approach. A differentiated approach is an approach that responds to students' learning needs. Peer teaching methods are needed to support the implementation of a differentiated approach. The peer teaching method consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation.
