ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR MEMBACA PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS I SD MUHAMMADIYAH BIRRUL WALIDAIN

ABSTRACT Reading skills are an important basis in basic education, especially in the early stages of learning in grade I elementary school. But not all students can achieve the same level of reading mastery. Some students may face difficulties in understanding reading concepts and techniques. Therefore, this study aims to analyze research on difficulties in learning to read in class I students at SD Muhammadiyah Birrul Walidain Kudus and determine the factors that cause difficulties in learning to read experienced by students. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with classroom observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. In selecting subjects for this research, a purposive technique was used, namely 3 students. The research results showed that there were 3 students who had difficulty reading. Characteristics of reading difficulties experienced by students include difficulty recognizing letters, difficulty concentrating on omissions, halting spelling, weakness in slurred speech and difficulty distinguishing sounds in words. Underdeveloped phonological abilities can be a major factor in difficulty learning to read. Apart from that, the lack of motivation and interest of students in reading also greatly affects students' reading ability.Downloads
