PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MEANS ENDS ANALYSIS BERBANTUAN MEDIA FLIPCHART

Researchers carried out observations of a class and obtained data that mathematical problem solving abilities and student learning activities still needed guidance. This happens because learning is still conventional and teachers rarely use media so that students tend to be passive when learning. The purpose of this research is to improve students' mathematical problem solving skills and learning activities by using the Means Ends Analysis model assisted by Flipchart media on data presentation material. The subject of this study was class V SDN 2 Blimbingrejo, which consisted of 11 students consisting of 3 male students and 8 female students. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis in this classroom action research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in mathematical problem solving abilities in cycle 1, namely 63.63% with sufficient criteria and in cycle II, namely 100% with very good criteria. The results of observations of student learning activities have increased, from cycle I obtaining an optimum average value of 68.7 with sufficient criteria while cycle II obtained an optimum average value of 85.16 with good criteria. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving abilities and learning activities of students in class V SDN 2 Blimbingrejo increased after the implementation of the Means Ends Analysis model assisted by Flipchart media.Downloads
