ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DITINJAU DARI ADVERSITY QUOTIENT PADA MATERI POLA BILANGAN SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 3 PRINGGARATA TAHUN AJARAN 2023/2024

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' problem-solving abilities in terms of adversity quotient. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The instruments used are questionnaires, problem-solving tests, and interview guidelines. Questionnaires and problem-solving tests were given to 50 grade VIII students who were then obtained by 13 research subjects to be interviewed with details of 12 climbers students and 1 camper student. The results showed that grade VIII students of SMPN 3 Pringgarata were divided into 46 AQ climbers and 4 campers. Student climbers have an average score of 46.10 in the low category. Furthermore, climbers students with high abilities are able to on all four steps of Polya. Climbers students with moderate ability are able to understand the problem, while there are 4 subjects who are able to plan the step, implement the plan, and look back and 2 subjects are unable to take the step of making a plan, implementing the plan, and looking back. Climbers students with low abilities are able to step in understanding the problem. While campers students have an average score of 47.04 in the low category. The problem solving ability of campers students is in the low category where campers students are only able to understand the problem.
