Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum in junior high schools. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The object studied was SMPN 1 Berbah by collecting data through interviews and observation. The results of this research show that the implementation of the independent curriculum in PAI learning, which has been started for the past two years, has been gradual and is going well, although not yet optimally. There is an interesting thing in this new curriculum, namely the project program, namely P5, which is said to be able to help foster students' creative spirit and instill the values contained in learning, especially in PAI learning at SMPN 1 Berbah, so that it can help educators to achieve the CP set by the Minister. Education.
