Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the PjBL (Project-Based Learning) learning model in improving the learning outcomes and thinking skills of grade 2 students in flat shape material at SDN Ginuk 1. The research method used is classroom action research involving active student participation in the learning process PjBL for several cycles. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the percentage of students who successfully fulfilled the KKM in Cycle 2, from 38.5% in Cycle 1 to 76.92% in Cycle 2. On the other hand, the percentage of students who had not fulfilled the KKM decreased from 61.5% in Cycle 1 to 23.08% in Cycle 2. In addition, students' critical thinking skills were also seen to increase through students' activeness in asking questions to the teacher and active participation in discussions and problem solving. These findings indicate that the application of the PjBL model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes and critical thinking skills in flat shape material. Therefore, it is recommended to continue this research by involving more samples and expanding the scope of material used.
