Author Guidelines

Jurnal MAHUPAS respectfully invites academics, researchers, and legal practitioners to consider submitting high-quality manuscripts focusing on various fields of law, including Criminal Law, Civil Law, Constitutional Law, and others. Jurnal MAHUPAS is also committed to facilitating the exchange of innovative and relevant ideas and research results in an effort to develop legal science in Indonesia. To ensure the quality and consistency of publications, we provide writing guidelines that we ask all authors to follow. These guidelines include:

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted:
Jurnal MAHUPAS accepts various types of manuscripts including original research articles, literature reviews, case studies, and policy reviews. All manuscripts must make a significant contribution to the understanding and development of gender and child-related law as per the Focus and Scope.
2. Language of Writing:
Manuscripts should be written in clear and academic English or Indonesian. Authors are expected to ensure that the language used conforms to academic standards, including proper grammar and spelling.
3. Manuscript Length:
Submitted manuscripts should be between 3,000 to 8,000 words in length, including footnotes, references, and appendices. The abstract should consist of 150-250 words.
4. Writing Format:
Manuscripts should be typed with 1.5 spacing, using Times New Roman font size 12 points. Authors should use standard margins (1 inch on each side) and include page numbers in the bottom right corner.
5. Script Structure:
Each script should consist of the following parts:
a. Title: Should be concise, descriptive, and reflect the content of the manuscript.
b. Abstract: A brief summary that includes the objectives, methods, results, and main conclusions of the study.
c. Keywords: Five to seven keywords relevant to the research topic.
d. Introduction: Explanation of the background of the problem, research objectives, and expected contribution.
e. Research Methods: A detailed description of the methodology used in the research.
f. Results and Discussion: Presentation of research findings followed by analysis and interpretation.
g. Conclusion: A summary of the main findings and their implications, as well as recommendations for further research.
h. References: A list of references used in the manuscript, organized according to the suggested citation style.
6. Citation Style:
Jurnal MAHUPAS uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition citation style (footnotes and bibliography). Authors should ensure that all citations and references are properly organized according to this style.
7. Manuscript Submission:
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through Jurnal MAHUPAS's online manuscript submission system. Authors need to create an account on Jurnal MAHUPAS platform to submit the manuscript and follow the review process.
8. Peer Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts will go through a rigorous peer review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by a minimum of two expert reviewers in the field. This review process is double-blind, which means the identity of the authors and reviewers will be kept confidential.
9. Ethics Policy:
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original work and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All authors involved must give approval for the final version of the submitted manuscript. In addition, authors must include a statement regarding conflicts of interest, if any.
10. Copyright and License:
By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to grant exclusive rights to Jurnal MAHUPAS to publish the article. Jurnal MAHUPAS uses the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, which allows reuse of the article as long as proper attribution to the original author is given.
11. Revision and Proofreading:
If the manuscript is accepted with revision conditions, authors are expected to resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Upon final acceptance, the manuscript will undergo a proofreading process to correct language and formatting errors.

By following these guidelines, authors can help us process their manuscripts more quickly and efficiently, which may increase the likelihood of their publication in Jurnal MAHUPAS. We kindly ask authors to read these guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts.
