Abstract

The provision of extracurricular wall climbing activities at Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School in Malang, being the sole establishment of its kind this academic year within the elementary school level, is the subject of analysis in this study. Our objective is to scrutinize the management of extracurricular wall climbing at the aforementioned school. Extracurricular management entails planning, organizing, supervising, and implementing wall climbing activities whilst ensuring safety and supervision, availability of facilities, time management, participation, instructors, costs and equipment, student interest and motivation, evaluation, and proper infrastructure. This study employs qualitative research methods, with a focus on obtaining an in-depth understanding, theory development, and describing the complexity and social reality of the phenomenon under observation. The subjects of the study include supervising teachers, trainers, and representatives of extracurricular wall climbing students at Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School in Malang. The sources of data for this study are primary data, obtained from unstructured interviews, and secondary data, derived from observations. The study employs observation, interview, and documentation techniques to collect data. Based on the analysis of the research results, it can be deduced that the implementation of extracurricular wall climbing activities at Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School in Malang has been executed efficiently.
