PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS 5 SDN 1 BODOR

The background of this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of grade 5 students at SDN 1 Bodor, Nganjuk Regency. In addition, student learning motivation is still low, where grade 5 students tend to feel bored quickly when learning activities take place because in learning the teacher only uses conventional learning models. Based on these problems, the researcher applied the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model as an effort to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, action, and reflection. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SDN 1 Bodor, Nganjuk Regency in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research was conducted from May to June 2023. The research subjects totaled 13 students, consisting of 6 male students and 7 female students. The instrument used in this study was an evaluation question in the form of multiple choice questions on the volume of a rectangular cuboid. The pre est and post test are used to compare student learning outcomes before and after using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. Observations were also made to support the research results. The average value of student evaluation results in pre-cycle was 62 to 70 in the first cycle, and increased to 82 in the second cycle. Students who were able to achieve KKM in the pre-cycle of 31% increased to 54% in the first cycle and increased to 77% in the second cycle. The application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 1 Bodor, Nganjuk Regency.Downloads
