PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V SDN NGETOS VI KAB. NGANJUK DENGAN PENERAPAN METODE PROBLEM SOLVING SEBAGAI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Ngetos VI Nganjuk Regency, through the application of the problem solving method as a learning strategy. This study used a classroom action research design involving structured action cycles. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SDN Ngetos VI semester II of the 2022/2023 academic year. The object of this research is the results of student learning in mathematics. While the data collection method uses an evaluation test instrument to evaluate learning outcomes in mathematics. The data analysis method is descriptive analysis. The indicator of the success of this research is the average value of minimum mathematics learning achievement of KKM = 75 with 85% mastery. The results obtained from this study were that before being given action or pre-cycle the average mathematics learning achievement was 55.56 and only 7 students or 38.88% completed. In the first cycle there was an increase, the average student learning outcomes of mathematics was 70 and there were 9 students or 50% who had completed learning mathematics. Whereas in cycle II, the average student learning outcomes reached 95 and there were 15 students or 83.4% who had completed learning mathematics. This study shows that using the problem solving method can improve the results of learning mathematics in the material of collecting and presenting data.
