Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether the motivation of class II students in learning Theme 8 Safety at Home and Travel at SDN 01 Kartoharjo has increased due to the inquiry model. In the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, 28 students in grade II at SDN 01 Kartoharjo were used as research subjects. Classroom action research is the research methodology used. Two cycles of meetings were held for research; cycle I in two meetings, and cycle II in two meetings. At the end of cycles I and II, observation data and questionnaire techniques were used in the data collection process. The application of the inquiry learning model was able to increase the learning motivation of class II students in learning Theme 8 Safety at Home and Travel at SDN 01 Kartoharjo, as evidenced by the large average percentage in the student learning motivation questionnaire which showed an increase. The overall increase in learning motivation in cycle I was 79.78% in the moderate category to 87.80% in the high category in cycle II.
