PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN ARGUMENTASI SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SD

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on students' argumentation skills in science learning at SDN Watesnegoro III. This type of research is an experiment (Pre-Experimental Design) using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The type of sample used is (non-probability sampling) with a total of 23 students. This research begins by giving a pretest to students to assess students' argumentation abilities before the TGT model is implemented. Furthermore, the researchers applied the TGT learning model to students, then were given a posttest to find out the difference between students' argumentation abilities before and after being given treatment. The results of this study indicate that the TGT model has a positive effect on students' argumentation abilities. This can be proven by the results of testing the hypothesis of the pretest and posttest data using the t-test which shows the result that the value of sig.0.000 means less than a 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). From this explanation it can be seen that the results of the t-test obtained give the results of the hypothesis H0 being rejected and Ha being accepted. The results of the N-Gain test on the pretest and posttest data show an average value of 0.46 which indicates that the effect is quite large and is in the moderate category (46%). It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the use of the TGT learning model and students' argumentation abilities.Downloads
