Abstract

Mathematics subjects are subjects that are often considered difficult by some students some students are less enthusiastic about learning mathematics which results in students being less or even not actively involved in learning mathematics. This results in some students obtaining learning outcomes under KKM, if the teacher carries out evaluation activities. Several factors influence students so that they lack an active attitude when learning, one of which is the use of learning models that lack or even do not involve students such as lectures and assignments (conventional). This research has the objectives: (1) to improve student learning outcomes, and (2) to increase student activeness/activity, namely in mathematics subjects time measurement material. This research uses the PTKK (Collaborative Classroom Action Research) technique based on Lesson Study which is carried out in 2 cycles with 3 stages, namely Plan, Do, and See. The subjects in this study were 27 grade 1B students of SDN 02 Girimoyo. Data collection is taken from the results of the observation and the results of the evaluation activities at the end of each cycle meeting. This study obtained the results that the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve learning outcomes and student activeness/activity in Mathematics subjects time measurement material. This research also shows that the Problem Based Learning learning model is effective in solving problems so that learning outcomes and student involvement increase.
