Abstract

The learning process has an important role in improving learning outcomes. Using the ones and tens place value board media in learning can increase interest and effectiveness in learning outcomes, so this research aims to evaluate the influence of the place value board media in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of grade I students at SD Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarta. This study is classroom action research consisting of two cycles. 28 class I students of SD Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarta for the 2023-2024 school year were the focus of this study; 15 of them were male and 13 were female. The results of this research show that the average student learning outcome in the first cycle of learning was 74 with classical completeness of 57%. And the results of learning observation were 76%. The results in cycle II showed an average learning outcome value of 85 with classical completeness of 86% and the results of phase II observations showed 83%. So the results of the research show that the use of the ones and tens place value board has an effect on improving mathematics learning outcomes in the ones and tens place value material for grade I student at SD Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarta
