Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate how the use of Spinning Wheel media in consoles with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model can impact students' ability to think critically. By placing an emphasis on problem solving, PBL supports students in developing their analytical skills, and incorporating new multimedia technologies such as the spinning wheel can further enhance cognitive development. Spinning Wheel media is used as a visual and interactive tool that makes it easier to understand concepts and increases student involvement. This research used a quasi-experimental design with two groups, where students in the experimental group were given PBL-based learning support with Spinning Wheel media, while the controls were given conventional learning. Data was collected through critical thinking tests carried out before and after treatment. This research revealed that students who used the PBL approach with Spinning Wheel support experienced a significant increase in their critical thinking abilities when compared to students in the control group. This indicates that combining PBL with Spinning Wheel media has proven to be beneficial for improving students' analytical skills, and teachers should consider introducing this model during the teaching and learning process as an optimal way to support student development. These findings are of great significance by offering important insights for advancing education through innovative teaching methods aimed at fostering better quality learning in schools.
