This research aims to analyze the role and responsibilities of school principals as managers, leaders and innovators in the context of developing educational staff, based on Wahjosumidjo's book "School Principal Leadership: A Review of Theories and Problems" (2021). The research method used is a literature study by analyzing relevant sources published after 2020. The research results show that the managerial role of the school principal includes strategic planning, organization, direction and supervision of educational activities. Effective school leaders in this role can improve school performance and student achievement through good resource management. As a leader, the principal must be able to inspire and motivate staff and students, creating a positive and inclusive school culture. Transformational leadership has been proven to increase teacher motivation and engagement, as well as student learning outcomes. As innovators, school principals must be able to identify and implement innovations in coaching, including the use of technology and implementation of innovative curricula. Innovation in the development of educational staff helps teachers become more adaptive and responsive to student needs. Overall, the integration of managerial, leadership and innovation roles by school principals to create a productive, collaborative and innovative educational environment is very important. School leaders who are able to carry out these three roles effectively will be more successful in developing educational staff and improving the quality of education in their schools.Downloads
