Abstract

This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes for class V students. This research was carried out at SDN 01 Klegen, Madiun City. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The type of research used is classroom action research. The subjects taken in this research were all 28 children. The object of this research is improving students' mathematics learning outcomes through the use of the NHT type cooperative learning model. The research results obtained during the pre-cycle showed that the number of students who completed was only 10 students or 35.71% of the total number of 28 students, and after using the cooperative learning model in cycle I, student learning outcomes had increased but not yet to the maximum. , the percentage of students who got a complete score was only 13 students or 46.42%. So it is necessary to hold a cycle II to correct the deficiencies in cycle I. After the implementation of cycle II, student learning outcomes have increased very significantly and have reached the predetermined target, so the cycle is stopped, where the percentage of students who have completed it reaches 24 students or 85.71% of the total number of students.
