MEDIA SMART BOX PADA PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF KELAS III

Abstract

The lack of media use in thematic learning is the background of this research. The research objective is to describe the application of Smart Box media to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of class III/a in thematic learning of food technology material and measuring the improvement of class III/a cognitive learning outcomes by applying smart box media. The method chosen by the researcher is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research (CAR)) by applying 4 Kemmis and MC Taggart designs, namely, planning, implementing, observing and reflection. A total of 28 students in class III/a SDN 02 Mojorejo became the subject in research by conducting 2 cycles. Based on the findings the researcher shows the percentage of mastery learning before and after applying the smart box media to the pre -cycle (62%), cycle I (38%), cycle II (89%). Seeing the percentage of completeness of the second cycle of 89% indicates the determination of previous success indicators of 85% has been fulfilled, so that the success of the research is in the second cycle. Then it was concluded that the increase in cognitive learning outcomes in class III/a SDN 02 Mojorejo in the thematic learning of food technology material could be achieved by applying the Smart Box media.
