Abstract

This research is motivated by learning that is still teacher-centered, so this causes student learning outcomes to be low or not optimal. This research aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in science and technology learning in class V of SD Negeri 04 Payakumbuh. This research is quantitative research with the type of research being quasi-experimental and the research design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used to collect data is an objective test in the form of multiple choices. Based on the results of data analysis using the t-test, the tcount value was 3.3607 and the ttable value with a significance level of 0.05 was 2.0025. Thus, the value of tcount > ttable = 3.3607 > 2.0025 so that H1 is accepted, which means there is a significant influence in the use of the discovery learning model on student learning outcomes in science and science learning in class V of SD Negeri 04 Payakumbuh.
