Abstract

The issue of this research is the slightingly social sciences (IPS) subject of students, one of the causes of which is less than optimal learning media. Therefore, through the Smart Apps Creator application, a learning media called Sell Smart was designed to increase learning quality. This study aims to determine the effect of using Sell Smart learning media on student learning outcomes in the fourth grade Social Sciences subject at UPT SPF SD INpres Kassi, Manggala District, Makassar City. The research method is a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental type, Non-equivalent Control Group Design. In this study there were two treatments, namely the experimental class and the control class as a comparison. Data analysis was used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The research results showed that the pretest results in the experimental and control treatments respectively obtained the highest percentages in the unfavorable category at 66.7% and 83.3%. Furthermore, the posttest results showed that the highest was in the good category with a percentage of 66.7% in the experimental class and the quite good category in the control class with a percentage of 66.7%. This indicates that there has been an escalation in student learning outcomes by utilizing Sell Smart media.
