MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VII – E SMP NEGERI 1 DIWEK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN RME (REALISTIC MATHEMATIC EDUCATION)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of the RME (Realistic Mathematic Education) approach in improving the learning outcomes of students in class VII - E SMP Negeri 1 Diwek on the material of building space. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) uses a qualitative approach, because this approach can facilitate researchers in describing the data. The subjects in this study were students of class VII - E SMP Negeri 1 Diwek. This classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles, in each cycle consisting of four stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) analyzing and reflecting. Based on the results of the research conducted, that the RME (Realistic Mathematic Education) approach increases the understanding of students on the material of building space. With the average acquisition in cycle I with an average of 44,1% and in cycle II with an average result of 62,8%. From cycle I and cycle II there was an increase of 18,7% after using the RME approach to the learning process in the classroom.
