PENGARUH METODE TOKEN EKONOMI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEDISIPLINAN ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI PAUD MUTIARA HATI

Abstract

Discipline is a way to help children to develop self-control and can obtain a limit to improve their behavior. The cultivation of discipline must be done from an early age because discipline requires habituation that is done repeatedly or consistently. This study aims to determine the effect of the token economy method in improving the discipline of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Mutiara Hati. The type of research used is a quasi experiment one group pre- test post-test design. The research subjects were treated with economic tokens. The entire population in the study was used as a sample namely all 15 students of group B2 PAUD Mutiara Hati. The data collection technique in the study used the observation method. The instrument used was an observation sheet. Data analysis techniques in this study using paired sample t test. The results showed that there was a difference between children's discipline before and after receiving treatment in the form of economic tokens. The results of the calculation of the average pre-test score of 28.6 and the average post-test score of 43. This shows a difference in the average score of the pre-test and the average post-test. The calculation results showed that the sig value. (2. tailed) of 0.00 which means <0.05 and it can be said that Ha is accepted, namely there is an effect of the token economy method in increasing the discipline of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Mutiara Hati.
