Abstract

his research aims to see the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) based modules on the learning outcomes and motivation of class IV students at SDN 21 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi experimental design method in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sample for this research was 54 class IV students at SDN 21 Pekanbaru who were taken using a total sampling technique. Based on the analysis of the Independent Sample t-test, the tcount value was 6.054 > ttable 1.674, which means that H0 was rejected. Meanwhile, the simple linear regression test obtained fcount results of 0.516 < ftable 3.40 with a significance level of 0.479 > 0.05, which means that H0 is accepted. So it can be concluded that Problem Based Learning (PBL) based modules have a significant effect on student learning outcomes but there is no effect on the motivation of class IV students at SDN 21 Pekanbaru.
