Abstract

Reading is a basic ability that students must master. By having a high level of reading ability, students will be able to achieve success in learning. Low reading ability is often found in elementary schools, both in lower and higher grades. The use of Wordwall media as a medium to improve students' reading skills in elementary schools is considered very suitable. Because it has many templates that can be changed easily by teachers and games that have been designed by teachers. The subjects of this research were 32 students. This research uses a type of research, namely quantitative, with an approach using a One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. Research data was collected using a reading test which was given 3 times, namely before the treatment (pretest) and after the treatment (posttest). So, based on the results of data analysis, researchers know that there is an increase in students' reading ability with the help of wordwall media, as shown by the average posttest score (82.50%) which is greater than the pretest score (62.50%), there is an increase of 20.00 %. Therefore, it can be concluded that wordwall media has an influence on improving the reading ability of grade VI elementary school students at SD N 2 Mantingan.
