This study explores the attitudes and behaviors of elementary school teacher education students towards the integration of local wisdom into learning. The respondents, from the 2020-2023 cohort of active students in primary teacher education, generally expressed positive attitudes towards the importance of integrating local wisdom. Survey responses from 176 participants revealed a collective recognition of the value and relevance of local knowledge, with 73% emphasizing its importance. However, gaps in student experiences suggest the need for targeted strategies to ensure equitable exposure across different subject areas. This research highlights potential limitations in expanding the integration of local knowledge and provides insights for educators and policy makers to foster a more culturally inclusive educational environment. Cultural Capital Theory was applied to interpret the results of this study, highlighting local knowledge as a form of cultural capital that influences students' educational experiences.Downloads
