Abstract

The learning outcomes of class V A students at SD Negeri 238 Palembang 2022/2023 in Indonesian language lessons are still low. When learning takes place, students tend not to pay attention to the teacher's explanations. This is because the learning process is still centered on the teacher, causing low student learning outcomes. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects in class V of SD Negeri 238 Palembang through the application of the Problem Based Learning model using Canva media. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages which include planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this research were 32 class V students. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests (formative tests) and non-tests (observation and documentation). The results of research in cycle I, the average score reached 74.37 with a percentage of 78.12%. In cycle II, the average score increased to 85.62 and the percentage of completion became 90.62%. It can be concluded that Indonesian language lessons using the PBL model and Canva media can improve student learning outcomes in the VA class of SD Negeri 238 Palembang.
