References

All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and all items in the reference list must be cited in the text. The reference guide explicitly requires this consistency. 

INNOVARES recommends the use of APA Style (7th edition) for in-text citations and reference lists.

General requirements:

• ensure accuracy and completeness of all reference data;
• include DOI where available;
• clearly identify preprints when cited;
• provide full URL and access date for web references where relevant.

The reference guide also emphasizes accuracy of reference metadata, proper treatment of web references, dataset references, and preprints.
