PERKEMBANGAN GLOBAL PENELITIAN NUMERASI PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA UNTUK KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN MASA DEPAN

This analysis aims to map the global development of numeracy research in mathematics learning through a bibliometric analysis approach. Research data was obtained from the Scopus database with publications spanning 1992 to 2025, resulting in 127 selected articles after a screening process according to criteria. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using the R program to examine the main publication information, year-to-year publication trends, the most productive affiliates, and word cloud visualization. VOSviewer was used to analyze keyword clustering and novelty. The results show that publications on numeracy research in mathematics learning have increased significantly since 2019, with an increasingly consistent growth pattern. Geographically, institutions from the UK dominate the publications, but the distribution of affiliates across continents confirms that numeracy has become a global research issue. Word cloud analysis revealed that the focus of numeracy research is closely related to mathematics education, particularly in early childhood, cognitive processes, psychological factors, and mathematics learning outcomes. Furthermore, the results of keyword clustering and novelty indicate a shift in research focus towards secondary education with an emphasis on strengthening advanced mathematics numeracy. These findings indicate that future numeracy research needs to be directed at developing more in-depth, contextual, and evidence-based mathematics learning to support improvements in the quality of future education.
