PENGGUNAAN MEDIA POWERPOINT (PPT) INTERAKTIF TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PANTUN DI KELAS V SDN MEKAR WANGI

Abstract

Less interesting and less active students in learning make the results of students' writing not in accordance with the rules of writing rhymes. This study aims to describe the effect of using interactive powerpoint media on rhyme writing skills. This research was conducted at SDN Mekarwangi, Kawalu Subdistrict, Tasikmalaya City in class V in semester II of the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this research is quasi experiment. This research design uses Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study amounted to 20 experimental class students and 20 control class students. The instrument used is a learning design in the form of a lesson plan, assignment sheet and assessment rubric. Based on the posttest results, it was found that the average rhyme writing skills of students using interactive powerpoint media (experimental class) were higher than the average rhyme writing skills of students taught with conventional learning (control class). The average pretest score obtained by the experimental class was 6.60. The average pretest score of the control class is 7.25. After treatment in both classes, the average posttest of the experimental class was 10.15 and the control class was 8.80. Hypothesis calculation using the t-test, namely the paired sample T test and obtained at a significant level of 0.05 shows that the probability value (significance) is 0.08. Because the significance value of 0.08 < α = 0.05, Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that the use of interactive powerpoint media has an effect on the skill of writing rhymes in grade V students of SDN Mekarwangi.
