The reading corner is the use of various corners of the room in the school as a place to collect books and writings from students in each class. It is hoped that the creation of a reading corner at SDN 1 Banjarsari Kulon will become a new facility, especially for class V, in reading skill activities and developing writing skills, so that students can continue to carry out literacy movements. The low reading interest of students in class V at SDN 1 Banjarsari Kulon is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include intelligence and reading ability, while external factors include the influence of parents and peers and the impact of the globalization era. To foster interest in reading, fifth grade students at SDN 1 Banjarsari Kulon conducted several programs, namely a reading corner. The results of this study will be presented in a descriptive form based on statements from the principal, teachers and students. This research was carried out directly, the results of the findings of interest in writing in the use of reading corners in class V SD N 1 Banjarsari Kulon were that students were able to make new vocabulary into a sentence, for example making poems and letters for teachers with the language and vocabulary they got. The results of this study can be concluded that after utilizing interest in reading and writing in class V SD N 1 Banjarsari Kulon, it is very important and helps students and teachers in adding new vocabulary and new knowledge.Downloads
