Abstract

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in science learning by using the learning model of observing the properties of light Numbered Heads Together and to determine the effectiveness of student learning in learning science by using the learning model to observe the properties of light in Numbered Heads Together learning. This research was conducted at SDN Kebulen 3 with the subjects of this study being 30 grade 3 students. This research method uses the experimental method (Pre-Experimental Design). Sources of data obtained from students of SDN Kebulen 3 and teachers. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observations and tests then analyzed using quantitative. The conclusion of the results of this study is that the results of science learning using the Numbered Heads Together type of cooperative learning model are better compared to students who do not use the Numbered Heads Together type of cooperative learning model as indicated by the pretest average score of 64 while the posttest is 79.4. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model can influence student learning outcomes in science lessons in elementary school.
