This research originates from the fact that in elementary schools students experience difficulties in understanding social studies concepts. This is because teachers are still dominantly using the lecture method which considers social studies lessons to be rote. In fact, to deliver social studies material, an effective and fun learning model is needed, so that students can understand the social studies concept and not feel bored. In addition, media is also needed to support the success of learning. Among the various existing learning models there is the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. This model provides an opportunity for students to think and discuss with friends to make themselves "experts" so that they can explain the material they discussed in the expert group to their friends in the cooperative group (home). Seeing this, the problem in this study can be formulated, namely how to implement the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in improving social studies learning in class V SDN 02 Bahagia Padang GelugurDownloads
